AT last the Level 2 Club in Huntingdon has opened - new name, new owner, new décor. Moreover, I can say that this weekend was a tremendous success.
Michel Lewis from Kiss FM played on Friday night and had the dance floors rocking. Drinks are a good price, the door staff were pleasant and good-natured, and on Friday and Saturday it was packed with revellers.
Let's hope that Huntingdonshire District Council will leave it alone this time and that the residents of Huntingdonshire will realise what a great venue they have on their doorstep and maximise its use.
The management already has plans for youth nights, live music and more and, if this weekend is anything to go by, the local night-time economy will flourish as it did when Oliver's was open.
