YOUNGSTERS at Godmanchester Kids Club entered a competition to design a new mascot.
The winner, called Sniffles, was the idea of Georgia Duncan, aged nine. Sniffles made his first public appearance at the prize-giving where Georgia received a £20 gift voucher.
In joint second place were Daisy Hodgson and Talia Bleakley, who received vouchers of £5 each.
Sniffles will now feature in the club's fundraising projects, the first of which was the Kids Club stall at Godmanchester Gala Day on Saturday, July 7.
Godmanchester Community Primary School and Godmanchester Kids Club is working to find a permanent home for the club, which would otherwise have to close when planning permission for its current mobile accommodation at the school runs out in three years' time.
