'Smart' Men Rob Pensioner In Her Home

A PENSIONER was burgled in her own home in broad daylight by two smartly-dressed men who asked to check her water.
The 75-year-old woman was alone at her house in Woodhurst when two men entered through the front door at about 5pm on Saturday, July 5.
One of the men asked to check her water but she refused. The other man grabbed her handbag containing cash and cards.
Both men than ran off in the direction of South Street where they are thought to have got into a car and driven off.
The first man was white, aged 21-40, 5ft 7in tall, slim and with short, fair hair. He was wearing smart trousers, a coloured shirt and was carrying paperwork.
The second man was white, aged 21-40, 5ft 6in tall, stocky and with short, black hair. He was wearing smart trousers and a grey shirt.

Dc Liz Varley, investigating, said: "These two men may have been in the area for some time on Saturday, July 5."
