A FENSTANTON woman who was arrested after her husband died from a shotgun wound will not face any criminal charges, police said on Wednesday.
Cambridgeshire police said following a detailed forensic examination and investigation, officers were satisfied there was no criminal element in Simon Woodward's death.
Mr Woodward, 42, died on January 3 at his family cottage in Swan Road, Fenstanton.
His wife Karen, 37, was arrested in connection with the death and later released on police bail.
However, it has been confirmed by Cambridgeshire police that Mrs Woodward will not face any further action and the matter will now be dealt with by the coroner.
More than 200 people, including Mrs Woodward, attended a memorial service for Mr Woodward in Fenstanton on January 19.
His funeral was held on January 30 at Cambridge Crematorium.
