MY grandchildren made a pumpkin lantern with their granddad and we placed it outside our house on Hallowe'en, with a candle in it, waiting for them to come trick-or-treating. When they arrived, dressed as witches, they were very upset that the pumpkin wasn't outside the door. They had spent a lot of time making it.
