The attack took place on Sunday July 22 at about 5.30pm when a 26-year-old woman was pushing her one-year-old son in a buggy along Upwood Road, in the direction of Upwood and away from Bury village, near Ramsey. She was approached from behind by a man who put his hands over her mouth, pushed her into some bushes and assaulted her. The victim screamed and the man ran off in the direction of Bury.

The woman suffered slight injuries and was left shocked and shaken.

Police would particularly like to speak to two men in their 20s who were seen in the area of Fairmead Estate and Upwood School.

Detective Inspector Trudie Skeels said: "I hope someone will recall some information that could be important to this investigation.

"We would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and might have heard a scream or anyone behaving suspiciously."

The attacker has been described as being white, 35 to 40 years old, 5'10" to 6' tall, stocky, clean shaven, and wearing dark olive green knee-length shorts, a blue long-sleeved hooded top and a blue woollen hat folded up at the front.
