During his presentation, Mr Gibbons said that all the awards the firm has won have been a company achievement and a celebration for all those involved.
“You don’t have to be a high street company but it gives you the chance to meet other businesses and interact with other businesses,” he added.
Mr Gibbons also gave advice to those businesses that may have entered in previous years but hadn’t walked away as winners.
He said: “What you need to do is keep at it, look at what you do different, look at what makes you better than anybody else – what makes you unique.
“Enter the awards as an experience because if you don’t win the category this year then try again another year.”
Closing the event was Tim Boutle, business coach and owner of SME Business Coaching, who gave attendees the chance to learn how to maximise their businesses.
During his presentation, Mr Boutle, who is based in Newmarket, used his model of ‘The Business Growth Chassis’ to explain how increasing profits at any company fits relatively the same model – similar to chassis when building cars.
For those businesses who want to be in with a chance of becoming part of the prestigious alumni of winners at the business awards, the deadline for entries is September 8.
All entries need to be received either through the dedicated awards website or via the post.
