A SCHOOL in Bluntisham raised nearly £2,000 at its annual Party in the Park on Saturday.

Now in its third year, the Friends of St Helen's School event attracted 800 visitors with entertainment such as a human table football, go karts, and live music.

There was also a disco for the children, a performance by a majorette band and flypast by a Spitfire.

FOSH chairman, Russ Banks, said: "The day was a great success, everyone appreciated the activities we put on and it was topped off with some brilliant live music from local bands.

"FOSH would like to thank everyone involved."

Money raised will be put towards the building of a new outdoor classroom for the school.
