I WAS slightly shocked and saddened to hear of Daisy Seager’s death. I knew her throughout most her political life in St Neots. She was an outstanding politician – in the best sense. She was dedicated, warm-hearted and sensible. She gave a lot of herself to the town and its voters due to hard work, compassion and humour.

One has to praise her husband, George, too. I always felt with Daisy that the best interests of St Neots outweighed political party interests. But most important she made political life fun. I will miss her.
