ARSONISTS set fire to rubbish close to a primary school.

Firefighters from St Ives were called at 5.39pm on Monday to the fire in the park near to Thorndown Community Infant School in Hill Rise.

Firefighters quickly put out the blaze. A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said the cause was believed to be deliberate.
