DRIVERS are being warned that a number of roads will be temporarily closed in St Neots while the 60th carnival procession takes place.
The procession starts at 2.30pm on Saturday from Longsands Road and finishes at the Riverside Park at 5pm. For the duration of the procession, roads will be closed as the carnival approaches and drivers are advised to plan an alternative route. No parking cones will be placed along the route on Friday and half the Market Square will be coned off.
The following roads will be subject to closure: Longsands Road, Princes Drive and the Kings Lane junction, Cambridge Street, Sandfields Road, Duck Lane, Shirdley Road, Berkley Street, South Street, Brooke Street, St Mary's Street, Montague Street, High Street, Church Street, New Street and Riverside.
The roads will be re-opened once the procession has passed.
