WORK will soon start on transforming the former Ramsey Grand cinema into housing and community facilities.
Bourne-based builder FE Peacock has been appointed to carry out the work, which should be completed in 2011, by social landlord the Luminus Group.
The new building will include a library learning centre, services for children and young people, a community information centre and 22 apartments and two houses.
