INSPIRATION: Olympic sprinter Christian Malcolm visited children at Ramsey Spinning Infants and Ramsey Junior School yesterday (Tuesday).
He spoke to them in assembly about the London Olympics in 2012 and inspired them by leading some exercises.
Malcolm, now 32, was World Junior Athlete of the Year in 1998 and in the 1998 World Junior Championships he won the 200m in 20.44 seconds.
At that year's Commonwealth Games, his 20.29s for the silver medal was a European Junior and Welsh senior record.
He went on to represent Great Britain at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
The children took part in sponsored activities with half the money they raised going to their school and half to Team Super Schools, which aims to take athletics to schools.
