ONCE again Mr Webster has warned that he will start to lock the gate at the Broadway end of the Cow and Hare Passage (October 25) to try to prevent further trouble from late night revellers.
If there is a problem of anti-social behaviour in this area, it is for the police to sort out and not Mr Webster by his actions of unlawful barring of access to this right of way.
I emphasise that I do sympathise with Mr Webster.
If Sgt Cobb of the St Ives police thinks that this anti-social behaviour reinforces the need to have this gate locked, I would suggest that the streets of St Ives are reclaimed on a Friday and Saturday night. The Broadway and George Yard are used as open toilets.

I suggest that it is time to put this yob culture to bed. I would also add that it is not only the boys: some of the girls are just as bad.
