AN exhibition of schoolchildren's plans, which could influence real-life development in Ramsey, takes place on Saturday. Over 600 young people from Abbey College have been involved in a project researching a zero carbon regeneration scheme for their home town. The pupils will invite the general public to comment on the scheme at a display at the George Hotel in Ramsey High Street. The plans could affect the scheme known as the Northern Gateway development in Ramsey, due to include a new branch of Tesco and the town's long-awaited community centre, as well as more homes. The pupils' project has been carried out in lessons and at an after-school club called the Ramsey Ecological Development (or RED) Club. It has been funded by Huntingdonshire District Council and a group called Fens Leap Leader. INFORMATION: The RED Club exhibition will be at the George Hotel in Ramsey from 10am to noon on Saturday. Entry is free.
