DETAILED plans for £940million improvements to the 22 miles of the A14 between Ellington in west Huntingdonshire and Fen Ditton, north-east of Cambridge, will be on display to the public at the end of the month.

The Highways Agency will unveil the plans at the Huntingdon Marriott Hotel on Sunday November 30 from 10am to 6pm. The exhibition will also be open for the following two days, Monday and Tuesday, December 1 and 2, between 11am and 8pm.

The agency expects to publish an environmental statement and formal Draft Orders for the alignment in spring next year. A public inquiry is likely to be held before the Transport Secretary makes a final decision on whether the Orders should be made. Work is expected to take place between 2010 and 2015.
