NUMBERS of older children who have joined the Proud to be Loud summer activity scheme in St Neots have doubled.

The project, which runs until Friday, September 1, is for people aged between 10 to 14 and is free.

This is the second summer this scheme has been offered to families, running from a base at the Eynesbury Rovers football ground.

This year, numbers attending have increased from 30 towards the maximum of 60 places. The scheme is based on what the children want, so that from the first day, organisers sit down with them at the end of the day to ask what they liked and what they didn't. Each day is adapted based on the comments received.

INFORMATION: Proud to be Loud is funded by Huntingdonshire District Council, Cambridgeshire County Council, St Neots Town Council, Luminus and Cambridgeshire Constabulary.
