A PROTEST gig is taking place this evening (Wednesday April 25) in St Neots in response to a far right candidate standing for election in the town.
Nicholas Smith, 23, from Sandfield Road, Eynesbury, is standing as a British National Party (BNP) candidate for Huntingdonshire District Council's Eynesbury ward.
It is thought he is the only BNP candidate standing in Cambridgeshire.
In response, the St Neots Labour group and the Cambridgeshire Unite Against Fascism have decided to put on a gig at the St Neots Football Club tonight .
Also standing: Diana Collins (LD), Bill O'Connor (L), Paul Ursell (C).
