2008 is already looking promising for the local music scene.

Ely-based hard mod-rockers The Loop have just released a brand new, full-length album called Shame and it is available to buy from http://www.isound.com/loop_gb

Featuring 11 tracks, the exceptionally consistent trio are already working on its follow-up. Meanwhile, Huntingdon's Wolves Stole My Childhood are re-issuing their fantastic album, Wolves. Originally released through their website, www.wolvesrock.co.uk in November, the band are re-releasing it complete with a couple of videos. It will also be available on iTunes. You can win a copy below. This year will also see the much anticipated debut album from Cambridge singer/songwriter Beth Walthew, injecting a healthy dosage of soul into the local music scene.

On the live front, we've got the live return of After4, a tour from 9Foldpunch and regular live music at The Golden Lion, St Ives and Cromwells Bar, Huntingdon. Popular rockers CosyCosy are also set to return, complete with a new drummer, with gigs to be announced shortly. If this year is half as good as last year, local music fans are in for a treat.
