HAVING been to England's countryside only once, I believe it to be a tragic mistake to overdevelop the area ("History Is Under Threat", January 25). Everything should be done to preserve it.
Besides being breathtakingly beautiful, the environment is healthy. To undo that would do irreparable harm, not only to your citizens, but all visitors worldwide.
