AS a supporter of Marie Curie Cancer Care, I am asking your readers to give up just two hours of their time during March to help raise vital funds for the charity's annual Great Daffodil Appeal.
By donating a little of your spare time to help with street collections you could fund two nights of home care nursing for a terminally ill cancer patient in your area.
The charity is holding collections all over Cambridgeshire during March, including Tesco, Huntingdon, on Wednesday, March 1 and in the town centre on Saturday, March 4, with the aim of raising as much money as possible.
Every night, Marie Curie nurses care for cancer patients in their homes, enabling people to spend their last days in familiar surroundings with their families, friends and pets.
The thousands of kind hearted volunteers who get behind the Great Daffodil Appeal are supporting the vital work of Marie Curie Nurses.
Whether they're collecting in the street, distributing daffodil boxes or helping in other vital roles, volunteers make it possible for Marie Curie nurses to carry on caring.

Last year the charity nursed more than 18,000 people with cancer in their own homes. But there is an ever increasing demand for their services, and in 2006 they want to care for even more people, giving them the opportunity to live out their days with those they love around them.
