GHOSTS and ghouls planning to hit the streets on Saturday (October 31) for Hallowe'en are being urged by police to behave themselves and stay safe. For police, Hallowe'en is a busy night as 999 calls increase with reports of anti-social behaviour. Last year between 5pm and 10pm the force received 104 emergency calls, of which 41 were from Huntingdonshire and Fenland. This year extra officers will be carrying out patrols in Huntingdon and shop staff will be reminded not to sell eggs and flour to children. To avoid confusion over whether or not a household is taking part in Hallowe'en `no trick or treaters' posters can be downloaded from www.cambs.police.uk The posters can be displayed in windows and doorways and say `sorry - no trick or treat here, thank you'.
