A POLICE office was opened in Buckden Millennium Centre yesterday (Tuesday) to be run two half days a week.
The office, the first of its kind in Cambridgeshire, has been opened as a pilot scheme and others will follow if it is successful.
Described as "a point of presence", the office will be open from 10am to noon on Tuesdays and from 2 to 4pm on Saturdays.
PC Russell Simpson said: "This is part of neighbourhood policing in a programme running up to 2008. If people in Buckden have queries, qualms or want to report something, they can make a report there rather than have to go to St Neots or Huntingdon. We can also use the office to do paperwork.
