Depression Alliance co-ordinates a national network of self-help groups. * Gather information to reduce misconceptions, guilt and fear. * Relaxation: yoga, reading, a holiday, whatever works. * Exercise: start with the physical. It helps you feel more positive. * Consider changes to your diet. Eat regularly and nutritious food because your energy will be depleted. * Pursue interests: Difficult when it is hard to concentrate but, once you get into something you really like, it will give you a new train of thought.
