ONE of the last remaining traditional orchards in Huntingdonshire is holding a plum day on Sunday. The day allows people to sample and learn about the plums produced in the area. Activities available include a plum tasting trail and quiz around the 60-acre orchard to take in the abundant fruit trees and wildlife, guided walks, and badge making. People are invited to take plums from their own trees for identification as part of an ongoing survey to find all the local traditional varieties. Local producers will supply plum based cakes, chutneys and jams for sale and the farm itself sells a wide variety of plums, apples and pears. Delicious homemade scones with various plum jams, plum cakes and sweetmeats with hot and cold drinks will be served. INFORMATION: A donation of \u00A31 per person is welcome to cover costs. Plum Day is from 2-5pm at The Heath Farm near the water towers on Woodend Road, Bluntisham.
