Pedestrian seriously injured in crash in St Neots

A PEDESTRIAN was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in St Neots.
The crash involved a silver Vauxhall Corsa and a 25-year-old male pedestrian and took place about 800 metres east of the B1428 at 9.40am on Sunday (May 31).
The pedestrian, who is from Letchworth, was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge after suffering serious but not life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Corsa, a 28-year-old from the St Neots area was uninjured.

Highways officials closed the road until 1.30pm on Sunday (May 31) while recovery of the vehicle took place.
