A 30-year-old man was taken to hospital after the car he was travelling in veered off the road and crashed into a lamppost near to St Neots.
The VW Polo collided with a lamppost on the A428 roundabout near to the junction with the B1428 at 8.20am on Tuesday (December 23).
The impact of the collision caused the lamppost to fall onto the road, blocking the carriageway. Recovery of the vehicle took place at 9.43am and the road was clear just after 10am.
A male passenger in the car was taken by ambulance to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge with what police described as serious but not life threatening injuries.
