HAVE we had a ruling as to how the free bus pass is going to work in our area? Do we know exactly the area of free travel? Things do not seem very clear at the moment. My brother lives in St Albans, Hertfordshire, and his free bus pass will cover all of that county, i.e. he will be able to make free journeys to such places as Rickmansworth in the south, to Tring in the west and Hoddesdon in the east, and north to Stevenage. He can also just enter Luton, which is in Bedfordshire. I understand our pass will only cover Huntingdon and district area. Why will ours not cover our county Cambridgeshire? What we over-60s and pensioners should have is nationwide free travel, as happens in some other parts of Europe. J E BRAY, Kings Road, Eaton Socon Editor's note: Free bus travel within Huntingdonshire will be available from April 1 to over-60s and registered disabled people. Those who travel into other Cambridgeshire districts will pay \u00A31 single or \u00A31.80 return. Huntingdonshire District Council had wanted to extend the concession Cambridgeshire-wide, but could not get the agreement of all other districts to fund it.
