REGARDING your story about Hinchingbrooke Park Road (April 28).
It seems to me one solution to solving the congestion at Hinchingbrooke would be to open the stopped exit road between Park Way on the housing estate and Kingsfisher Way on the business park which is open to emergency vehicles at present.
Personally I question the blocking of rat runs as roads are supposed to facilitate travel, not be built then blocked.
Economic and environmental grounds should indicate that it should be open as fuel is wasted and pollution generated by traffic jams and extended journeys.
Cameras and bumps should control the speed through the area.
