One lane of Ermine Street, Huntingdon, will remain closed until Sunday, Anglian Water has estimated.
While repairs to the water main which burst in the early hours of yesterday morning have been carried out, work now needs to be done to repair the road to a good standard.
Traffic can exit the ring road and continue towards the Stukeleys, but the road is closed in the opposite direction.
Police officers were called at 3am, where one property was flooded and the water was off at a handful of other homes. Anglian Water said that they will arrange any necessary repair work to the flooded home.
