A team of cyclists representing two Cambourne primary schools raised more than £6,700 after taking part in the London to Cambridge bike ride.
The 40 cyclists donated £1,354 to Breakthrough Breast Cancer, £2,478 to The Vine School and £2,906 to Monkfield Park School.
The money was given to the riders through sponsorship from Cambourne businesses, parents, students and residents.
Catherine Hall, parent and co-chair of the Vine Volunteers (PTA), said: "The event was a huge success not only in terms of the money raised for the Cambourne Schools and Breakthrough Breast Cancer but because it was the first community event which brought parents of both schools together.
"We would like to thank all those who have supported this event."
INFORMATION: The cycling group meets on Sunday mornings at 8am at the Belfry in Cambourne for bike rides of 25 miles.
