CONTRARY to Mr Law's alarmist and misleading letter (April 19), I can confirm once again that the county council has no plan (secret or otherwise) to route the guided busway through St Ives town centre and therefore move the statue of Oliver Cromwell. Buses using the guideway will use the same routes as existing services. I have made this statement to St Ives Town Council and via this very Letters page on January 18 this year. The county council's plans have not changed since the public inquiry.
