OUR records show that Jonson Cox, chief executive of Anglian Water, wrote to Mr Shepperson (Letters, October 1) about his sewerage charges on September 8.
In this case, a surface-water drainage rebate is not applicable because, while storm water running off the property concerned does not go into the mains sewer, it does flow into another Anglian Water asset, namely a surface-water sewer.
A rebate is applicable if storm water soaks away from properties into natural watercourses and not via a surface-water sewer.
