NOW I know this is not politically correct, but it's got to be said.

We are constantly being told in the media and by the Government that we are getting fatter and costing the NHS millions of pounds because of the health issues involved. Every day we read of healthy ways to cook food, and to exercise rather than slump into a chair and watch television.

Am I the only person to be astonished at the number of NHS workers, including nurses, who are overweight? My local health centre staff also need to take note of their weight.

I'm looking at a newspaper article concerning NHS issues, and the photograph of three nursing staff, two of whom are obese.

Perhaps people would take the matter more seriously of those giving the advice started by ensuring that NHS staff themselves were an example to us all. Otherwise, it's a case of do as I say, and mot as I do.
