FIVE established local bands will be competing to win the first prize of £800, with £200 going to the runner-up. Playing will be: The Uncovering, ART, Sometimenever, Alpha Road and The Holdup.
There will also be a set from last year's winners, Restrainin' Order. The event, which promises to be a strong showcase of local talent, is on Friday, February 1 at the Burgess Hall in St Ives. Tickets are £5 (on the door). Doors, at 7.15pm, first act on stage at 8pm.
