THERE was a new year baby boom in Huntingdonshire including three babies born to families in Sawtry and one at home in Eynesbury.

George Oliver Adamson was born at Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon at 2.59am on New Year's Day to proud parents Clair, 34, and Sandy, 38, of Westfield Road, Sawtry.

George, who is the couple's fourth child, had been due on December 30. He weighed 7lb 12oz. He is the third member of his mother's family to have a birthday around New Year.

Clair's mum, Diane Freeman was born on December 30 and Clair's sister, Karen Watson, celebrates her birthday on December 31 - so now the family has a birthday hat-trick.

FAMILY HAT-TRICK: Baby George has a grandma with a birthday on December 30 and an aunt with a birthday on New Year’s Eve. He is pictured with mum, Clair, sister Emily and brothers Alex and William.

Meanwhile, at home in Eynesbury, baby Grace Everett was born at 6.20am to parents, Stephanie McCabe, 24, and Mickey Baker, 36.

Mum, Stephanie said: "We had not planned a home birth, it just happened, we didn't seem to be making much progress then all of a sudden she was here." Grace, who had been due on December 28, weighed 6lbs and 10 ounces after a labour of just four hours. Grace is sister to Sean, three.

Then, back at Hinchingbrooke, baby May Lowther was born to parents Elizabeth, 27, and Paul 28, from Staunch Hill Road, Sawtry. A sister for big brother, Oliver, aged 15 months, May arrived at 10.10am, weighing just over eight pounds, May had been expected three days earlier.

Baby Max John Mulchrone was born at 10.34am to parents, Hannah, 31, and Matthew, 33, from The Maltings in Sawtry. Max, who had been due on Boxing Day, weighed 9lbs 2 ounces and is the couple's first baby.
