ON the whole I agree with Frank Brown regarding the good work done by Wood Green Animal Shelters (Letters, November 22), but in my view the comments made by the judge in this specific case were justified.
One has to remember that dogs are taken to Wood Green for many varied reasons, one being that they are out of control of the owner, and to re-home these dogs a very careful vetting of a new owner has to be made. In this case, it was not done.
