A mother-of-two has launched her own company after being helped by an innovative business-in-a-box concept.
Jo Guest, of Sparrowhawk Way, in Hartford, started her platform, Just for Tiny People Business Fairy, in August after having twins.
“I did not want to go back to work after being off with the kids and the thought of having to do my 90 mile round trip to work in Northampton really got me wanting to start the business,” said Mrs Guest.
Formerly an accountant in the NHS, Mrs Guest stumbled across Just for Tiny People while scrolling through Facebook.
“I thought that this was ideal as it gives me overall control of the business and allows me to spend time with my kids but to be a part of a company that already has products that are loved and I love.”
It was then that Mrs Guest signed up to receive a business-in-a-box from the company which allowed her to set up her own firm.
Just for Tiny People was set up by mother Effie Moss, in 2012, and now offers help to others who are looking to become a part of the company but have control over their own platform and working hours.
“You buy into the company, which is already well-established and loved and then they help you set it up the website and offer you choice of over
400 products. I have chosen all of them as I couldn't decide which ones I wanted but right now most people are obsessed with the tepees.”
Mrs Guest received training and product knowledge support, along with the help of the overarching business handling
“It was brilliant having the business-in-a-box as they can provide you with what you need to run the business and it has been great to have the help as it is so different from being an accountant as there wasn't much call for written words in my world so I have being trying to write blog posts and get people to see the brand,” added Mrs Guest.
To grow her business the 40-yearold will be showcasing the products at industry fairs across the country her first being the Cambridge Toddler and
Both online and at shows Mrs Guest will showcase a range of products including tepees, costumes, and decorations along with her personal favourite a wooden make up set.
