A ST IVES company, a former st Huntingdon- shire Business Award winner, is set to feature in a new BBC television series.Business label and specialist tape manufacturer Le Mark is set to come under intense scrutiny from business troubleshooter Alasdair Jeffrey in The Ferocious Mr Fixit, which started on BBC3 on Monday this week.Le Mark, based in Stephenson Road, comes under the microscope in the third programme in the series.Managing director Stuart Gibbons told The Hunts Post: "It features the BBC's new business tough guy Alasdair Jeffrey - and his sometimes unorthodox method of 'staff sorting' and business improvement. "Beneath the tough image is a man with an uncanny knack of understanding people's problems and putting them right."Unless we all live in a perfect world, work within or run perfect companies with perfect staff, we can quickly associate and understand where this man is coming from. Unfortunately, living and working within a modern litigious society can often see us in front of an industrial tribunal," he added."This concern causes us to sometimes ignore - or worse, attempt to work around - staff problems that need sorting. That is not a philosophy that Alasdair Jeffrey believes in or is restricted by."Knowing this, I believe that taking the BBC challenge, and allowing Alasdair to come into the company, reflected a strong commitment to the idea of change by 90 per cent of the Le Mark Team. "We knew of his reputation, but nevertheless we wanted to meet the challenge head on and learn by the experience."INFORMATION: The Ferocious Mr Fixit on Le Mark Group goes out on BBC3 TV on digital television on Monday January 23 from 9-10pm.
