Motorists are being advised to avoid a stretch of the A14 this morning (February 7), after some vehicles broke down on the westbound carriageway.

Police were called at 7.40am to reports of the incident between Godmanchester and the Spittals Interchange, but are no longer at the scene.

A spokesman said it might have been related to a pothole, and that several tyres have been blown out.

It’s thought that delays are currently more than an hour long past J29 at Oakington.
