TRAFFIC ground to a halt during rush hour on Tuesday (October 7) morning after a crash between a lorry and a car on the A14.
Police were called just after 7am to reports of a collision between a HGV and a white hatchback car.
An ambulance was called and one motorist is said to have suffered slight injuries but it is not known if they required hospital treatment.
One lane of the westbound carriageway remained closed until just after 8am for recovery of the vehicles to take place.
The accident resulted in a nightmare journey to work for commuters with four miles of tailbacks on the A14.
