A MAN who died after his motorbike collided with a car in Oldhurst on Tuesday evening has been named.

The dead man is Raymond Linnett, 43, of the Wenny Estate, in Chatteris.

A 21-year-old woman from Chatteris, who was also on the bike, sustained serious injuries in the collision. She is being treated in Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

The incident happened at about 6.20pm on Tuesday evening, when a yellow BMW 318ti car collided with a black Kawasaki motorbike.

The collision happened at the junction of the A141 and St Ives Road.

The BMW driver, a 19-year-old man from March, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

He suffered minor injuries in the crash and was bailed to appear at Huntingdon Police Station on September 17.
