A Brington mother-of-three has launched a new venture after struggling to find the best health care for her husband. Kirsty Ettrick has developed the business London Medical Concierge that is set to offer advice and help through all areas of medical treatment, providing priority consultations through an extensive and expanding network of leading clinical specialists. When Mrs Ettricks husband, Neil, was diagnosed with cancer in June 2014 she spent hours every night researching doctors, calling and emailing experts all around the world. She became torn between trying to spend as many precious hours with her family as possible and finding the best treatment options for her husband. Eventually, this search led Mrs Ettrick to oncologist Professor Justin Stebbing who offered treatment where others had unfortunately refused and understood that giving up was never an option. Despite the research, Neil died in late 2014 and Mrs Ettrick made it her mission to help others in a similar situation access the most appropriate and timely medical care. Through my own experience, I wanted to help others in a similar situation reduce the time, anxiety and emotional challenges we all face when researching doctors and treatments. And so, after careful consideration and planning, London Medical Concierge was born, Mrs Ettrick said. London Medical Concierge will offer patients access to priority consultations, fast track second opinions and prescription services, dedicated cancer care, clinical trials, paediatrics, patient management, and dermatology. Mrs Ettrick added: Im passionate about helping patients to find access to the most appropriate medical support as quickly as possible. As such, London Medical Concierge will welcome all enquiries and do the utmost to concierge all patients whatever their situation or individual case. For people with an existing diagnosis, the company says it can provide an understanding of the healthcare system, book appointments for them and gain a second medical opinion and access the right medical expert quickly.
