MOTORISTS are being advised to avoid the A14 at Brampton Hut after a lorry overturned this morning blocking one lane of the Eastbound carriageway.

Police were called at 9.49am after a lorry tipped over underneath the flyover damaging the bridge and blocking one lane of the carriageway.

The lorry was travelling from Eastbound to Huntingdon on the A14. An ambulance was called but it is believed the lorry driver escaped uninjured.

It is believed the lorry was carrying water dispensers that spilled on to the road.

Police have now closed one lane of the eastbound carriageway to recover the lorry and drivers are advised to find an alternative route or expect long delays.
