A COCKATIEL who whistles the Mission Impossible tune has gone missing from a family home in Huntingdon - and given his owners an impossible mission to find him. A reward of \u00A3100 is being offered and 300 leaflets have been circulated in the Oxmoor area to try to locate the two-year-old bird called Kumman. He went missing and flew over houses in Sapley Road last Wednesday around 6pm. The bird's owner, Saeed Akthar, an IT systems engineer, said: "He usually flies around the house and only goes in his cage at night but he was frightened by the heat from the deep fat fryer and went outside and we haven't seen him since." He added: "Kumman can say hello mate and good boy. He whistles Mission Impossible, Hawaii Five O, This Old Man and Old MacDonald Has a Farm. Cockatiels are very intelligent birds but they have no homing instinct." Mr Akthar, who has daughters Sonam and Farah aged 15 and 12 and a son Gaffy aged 14, says he has contacted Cambridgeshire Police, Wood Green Animal Shelters and Huntingdon vets practices to see if anyone has seen the bird. "Kumman is an ancient word for inspiring light. The kids also call him Sunny because of his bright yellow head and dark orange spots on either side. He is extremely tame and very intelligent and he is not shy of anybody. He loves attention and will play with children for hours on end." INFORMATION: If you have seen Kumman, contact the Akthar family on 07765 880 806 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or Cambridgeshire Police lost property on 01480 456111.
