A MINOR accident on the St Ives by-pass caused serious delays this morning, with traffic tailing back onto the A14 in both directions.
The collision between a Transit van and a Skoda Octavia car is believed to have happened when traffic on the Harrison Way causeway over the River Great Ouse pulled over to make way for an ambulance responding to a call.
There were long tail-backs on the A1123, A14 and the B1096 beyond Galley Hill towards Hilton. Police said there was one slight injury, and the road re-opened at 8.55am.
