Haulier Mick George has scooped a prestigious industry award for its work in waste management.

The firm, which has its headquarters in Huntingdon, took home the Corporate Finance Waste and Resources Fast 50 prize at the Sustainability and Resource Awards last week.

Jon Stump, finance director, said: “We recognise that we’re operating in a very competitive market, so to have landed this prestigious award is a testament to the on-going investment and efforts the business has made, and continues to make the service a success.”

Judges felt the firm met the highest environmental standards and working practices.

The awards have been run by the Chartered Institution of Waste Management for 10 years.
