There were lengthy delays on the A14 near Huntingdon this morning (Thursday) after accidents on both eastbound and westbound carriageways.
An accident involving two vans and a car took place at about 7.30am on the eastbound carriageway at junction 23, the Spittals interchange, with police closing one lane while the vehicles were moved from the road.
Congestion stretched back to junction 14 with the A1(M).
On the westbound carriageway, an accident caused congestion between the A1198, at Godmanchester, and junction 23, at the Spittals interchange. Congestion trailed back as far as A1096 at St Ives.
There were no reports of any serious injuries and both incidents were cleared by 8.45am. Residual delays remain in both areas however.
