SCHOOLCHILDREN descended on Huntingdon Fire Station this week for an interactive safety workshop.
Five hundred youngsters were taking part in the third multi-agency safety zone workshop organised by Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Services.
Agencies including Huntingdonshire District Council and Trading Standards set up scenarios in the fire station, allowing children to learn about kitchen hygiene, hazards, personal safety, road safety, and what to do if a fire breaks out.
Community fire safety officer Kevin James said: "In previous years this week-long event has been a huge success and the Year 5 children who come have a great time as well as learning important safety messages. We're delighted to be able to run the event again this year and hopefully it will be equally successful."
