RAILWAY parking (The Hunts Post, November 15). How about making a halt at Holme and making a large car park there? There is land available and it would save all the commuters and passengers from Ramsey and district having to drive to either Huntingdon or Peterborough. I have experienced lack of spaces at Huntingdon during the day and have ended up driving to Stevenage to park to get to London.

Editor's note: Such a scheme was included in Network SouthEast's expansion plans in the late 1980s before British Rail was privatised. It was abandoned because of a combination of the recession in the early 1990s and then the sale of the network, and has never been revived.
